Manifestation: Are You Writing the Story?
Manifestation: Are You Writing the Story?
The Myth: “You are the creator of your reality.”
“You are the God (na’udhubillah) of your reality.”
“Write your own story.”
Let me bust this myth for you, Believers!
This is a continuation of my earlier article:
“Tawakkul at Its Best – Surrender”
(Here’s the link if you wish to read or reread: Insert Link Here)
While the idea of “writing your own story” may feel empowering, someone asked me after the last post:
“If we let Allah write our story, do we still need to manifest?”
My heart wanted to scream:
“Allah is the only Writer, and He has already written everything for you. Your job is only to select from the options He has laid out.”
How can you escape the Will or Decree of Allah?
How did you come to believe that you are the sole creator of your reality, when there are billions of humans, each living their own lives under divine laws? How can you even imagine that you are God—even if you never say it aloud?
Let’s break down some of the common assumptions and challenge them with truth:
1. “If Allah is writing my story, should I give up on manifestation?”
This question reveals a misunderstanding of both divine destiny (Qadr) and personal effort (ikhtiyar). While you may choose from the options available to you, every option, every outcome, and every path is already written by Allah.
“Indeed, all things We created with predestination.”
— Surah Al-Qamar (54:49)
“You do not will except that Allah wills. Verily, Allah is Knowing, Wise.”
— Surah Al-Insan (76:30)
2. “Allah doesn’t want to give it to me, yet I’m still chasing the goal.”
Look closely—what are you truly doing here? Are you trying to override Divine Will? Are you implying you know better than your Creator?
“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:216)
You are not the creator of your reality; you are the selector within Allah’s Divine framework. Your “choices” are within His infinite knowledge and decree. No matter how far you go, you are still within His Kingdom.
3. “I am the God of my reality” (Law of Assumption)
The Law of Assumption says, “No one has free will in my reality; they are what I assume of them.”
If that were true, you must also accept that you are powerless in someone else’s reality. That alone contradicts the very idea of being your own god.
Only Allah has complete knowledge and power. He is not influenced by anything. He is Al-Qadeer (The Omnipotent)and Al-‘Aleem (The All-Knowing).
“To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you reveal what is in your hearts or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:284)
He wrote our destinies long before our souls were created—down to the tiniest detail.
“No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being—indeed that, for Allah, is easy.”
— Surah Al-Hadid (57:22)
So, what are we then?
You are not the creator. You are a powerful creation—endowed with consciousness, a mind, and a soul. But you operate within the limits prescribed by Allah.
Before jumping on the “I am the creator of my reality” or “I am God of my reality” bandwagon, take a moment to understand your own self. Many who chant these affirmations are still battling deep-rooted childhood trauma, seeking endless therapy, hypnosis, or rewiring techniques to “fix” the subconscious beliefs that still dominate them.
You are a creation, not the Creator.
You are guided, not the Guide.
You are blessed with choice—but only within the realm of what Allah has already written.
Final Reminder
“And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.”
— Surah Al-Qasas (28:68)
You are powerful, yes—but within the limits of your Lord. He has already written your story. Now your task is simple:
Trust, Choose, and Surrender.
Select wisely, and have Tawakkul.
Because Allah knows what you do not know, and what you think is best (owing to your mental capacity) may not even come close to what He has created for you in Your Multiple realities and timelines and may be you are selecting something in this timeline thats not as magnificent as He may have in store for you in other timelines.
It’s amazing explanation .
Now i understand everything ke hum chese krskte hai or usi ko likh sakte ye power hai k hum wahi likh sakte hai jo already likha hova hai by Allah swt..
jb ye ayat aati
“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:216)
to haul uthte mujhe. logon k ye alfaz yad atay jo Allah ka hukam. :”v kahan gya wo wqt jb apna hukam logon pr chala rahay thay. tb Allah ka hukam ni pta tha.
phir jb kbhi log kehte ho skta ye theek na ho. aray doubt m dalna shaitan ka kaam hai. aapne kiya aesa kaam to taaliyan. kisko btaya hai Allah ne k ye theek hai ya nahi. kisko Allah ne btaya hai.
IBNUL-QAYYIM all day STATED: “CERTAINLY, MOST OF CREATION. THEY ONLY WANT TO FULFILL THEIR NEEDS BY UTILISING YOU. EVEN IF THAT HARMS YOU IN YOUR RELIGION OR YOUR WORLDLY LIFE. THEIR ONLY GOAL IS FULFILLING THEIR NEEDS EVEN IF IT HARMS YOU.
AND THE LORD azwjl ONLY WANTS TO UTILISE YOU FOR YOU. HE WANTS TO DO GOOD TO YOU – FOR YOU NOT FOR HIS BENEFIT, AND HE WANTS TO REMOVE HARM FROM YOU, SO HOW DO YOU HANG YOUR HOPES, YOUR EXPECTATIONS, AND YOUR FEARS ON OTHER THAN HIM?!”

go with your intuition thats the summary of it. connect to your intuition.
shyad jb surrender krdete to ye theek hai ya nahi ye soch ni ati. jb stillness m jana ajata aur chizen bin mangay milteen to acha bura ni hota. q k jb insan Allah k tariqe pr chalta to kya bura hona. q k enlightenment basically jo razi ba razae khuda ki halat hai us m hr haal m insan razi rehta lekin kya razi honay ka mtlb hai insan dua ni krta? shyad ni jese baqol fqb k dawud a.s ne sirf aik dua ki aur phir kya hua furqan qureshi ki episode dekhiye :v – it’s complicated :)))
Yess Allah already knows what choices we will make. subhan Allah
